Konjac facial sponges, made from a root plant native to Asia, offer a sustainable and innovative means to physically exfoliate the skin. Celebrated for their gentle nature, Konjac sponges are suitable for all skin types, even those prone to excess oil or acne. Beyond their cleansing and exfoliating capabilities, they also excel at effectively removing makeup residues. Pairs well with all of our Cleansers. 

 

The green konjac sponge has green tea, for a more soothing and hydrating cleanse, and the black konjac sponge has charcoal to detoxify and control excess oils and also has antibacterial properties to help with acne.

Soak your new sponge in warm water for 10 to 15 minutes. This will help expand it to full size. Once it is full size, pump the cleanser of your choice onto your sponge, use the round side for gentle exfoliation or the flat side for normal cleansing. Move the sponge in a circular motion, kind of like a massage for your face. Start in the center of your face and work your way out and up, avoiding the eye area. After a few minutes, voilà you're done! Rinse your face with warm water and proceed with the rest of your Peak Scents Skincare routine. Be sure to rinse and squeeze all the excess water out of your konjac sponge after every use, so it does not harbor any bacteria, then hang it up to dry! Don’t be surprised when it starts to break down since konjac is a fibrous root. Once a week, drop the sponge in bowl of boiling water for a couple of minutes to sanitize it.
